A Gold Coast mum has gone public after a frightening moment in the parenting room at Robina Town Centre. Megan was breastfeeding her four month old in a curtained cubicle when she felt someone trying to open it.

Her own mum held the curtain shut and told the person the cubicle was in use. Moments later, security arrived asking if they'd seen a man alone in the room. Another mum in the area had reported seeing the man hiding in a neighbouring cubicle, which is what prompted the call to security.

Megan says the room had no panic button and patchy phone reception, so if something had gone wrong, no one would have heard her call out. She's since pushed for safer, better monitored parenting rooms.

Titans host the Dolphins at Cbus Super Stadium this Friday, September 4, and it means a fair chunk of Robina's road network gets shuffled around for the day.

Temporary closures run from 11am to 9pm, covering Centreline Place, Stadium Drive, Promethean Way, East Lane, and sections of Cheltenham Drive, Cheltenham Road, Robina Station Road, Paddington Place and Laver Drive. Stadium Drive also gets a partial northbound closure from 2.30pm, with a contra flow set up for locals who live in the area.

If you're anywhere near the stadium precinct that afternoon, build in extra time or plan an alternate route. Game day traffic around Robina is never fun, but at least this time you've got fair warning.

The Bond University Bull Sharks Women's footy team is heading to the QAFLW Grand Final after dismantling Coorparoo 7.8 (50) to 0.2 (2) in Saturday's preliminary final at Giffin Park. Tegan Williams kicked three goals to lead a performance that was not particularly close by quarter time.

The Grand Final is set for Sunday 6 September against Southport - making it an all-Gold Coast decider. Two local clubs, one trophy, and a Bond campus full of people who will absolutely be talking about this at school drop-off.

Get behind them. Bond University is based here in Robina, and a win would add another QAFLW premiership to the club's history after their 2023 title.
