Following the distressing assault of a 13-year-old girl near Robina's Aldi, the local community has shown its true colours. After learning her phone was smashed during the attack, StreetBuzz Gold Coast launched a fundraiser to help replace it, raising over $1,000 in under three hours.

The girl was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital after the incident and is still facing ongoing medical treatment. As news spread, locals stepped up quickly, with donations soon doubling the original target.

It's a heartening reminder of how the Robina community looks after its own in tough times.

When Dan and Erica Newton started MyFirstGym in 2017, they weren’t simply trying to create another place for kids to exercise.

Robina is one of Gold Coast areas set to benefit directly from a $146 million Queensland Government commitment to fast-track nearly 19,000 new homes across the city.
