Cbus Super Stadium hosts the Gold Coast Titans versus North Queensland Cowboys in Round 23 of the NRL Premiership tonight, Thursday 6 August. Kick-off is at 7:50pm, with a Titans v Cowboys curtain-raiser from 5:25pm.
The good news for locals: game ticket holders travel free on Queensland Rail, designated Translink bus services. Dedicated event shuttle buses run from 5:05pm, and there is no general public parking at the stadium, so most fans are expected to arrive via public transport.
If you are heading out for dinner or driving near the Town Centre this evening, some extra activity around Stadium Drive and Robina Parkway is likely from around 5:30pm, though the free transport options should keep traffic manageable. Post-game activity usually settles by 10pm.

Telstra's Highfield Drive Tower Is Getting a 5G Upgrade
Telstra is upgrading the 20-metre mobile tower just off Highfield Drive on the Merrimac/Robina border, and locals have a tight window to weigh in before it goes ahead.
The plan, lodged through infrastructure firm Amplitel, would strip nine ageing antennas from the existing monopole and replace them with three new 4G panels at 2.71 metres each, plus six more compact 5G panels at 0.79 metres each. The larger 4G panels in particular will noticeably change the tower's bulk and silhouette.
The upgrade is aimed at fixing the well-known signal drop-outs that hit Robina hard during big nights at Cbus Super Stadium and peak shopping periods.
If you live nearby and have concerns about visual amenity or placement, you can lodge a formal submission until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 via the RFNSA framework (Reference: 4213004).

If you have not heard about this one yet, the Robina Library runs a free LEGO drop-in every Wednesday afternoon during school term, and it has quietly built up a devoted local following.
Every week from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, kids aged six and over can rock up to 196 Robina Town Centre Drive, grab some bricks, and build whatever they like. No bookings, no tickets, no cost. Just show up.

New East-West Bus Link Planned for Robina and Miami
A new metro-style bus service connecting Robina and Miami is in the works for the Gold Coast, with the route running through Bond University and Robina Town Centre.
Running every 15 minutes, the planned service forms part of a broader East-West transport package that also includes a separate Nerang to Broadbeach connection via Carrara Stadium.
To support the corridor, major road upgrades are proposed along Nerang-Broadbeach Road, including lane widening, improved cycling and walking paths, and a new transport station and pedestrian overpass at People First Stadium.
The East-West links would complement the previously announced GC Surfer service to Coolangatta and the Light Rail extension north to Harbour Town.
No start date has been confirmed yet, but for Robina residents, a direct frequent connection to the coast would be a welcome addition.

Gold Coast's CCTV network hits 900 cameras
Gold Coast City Council has expanded its Safety Camera Network past 900 cameras, with new units installed at Varsity Lakes and Main Beach as part of a $1.5 million investment in the 2026-27 budget.
The Main Beach installation at MacArthur Parade was jointly funded by the City and the Queensland Government.
Licensed operators monitor feeds around the clock from a central control room, with direct lines to police and private security. Each year the network captures over 7,000 incidents and facilitates more than 1,300 footage releases to police.
Acting Chief Superintendent Brett Jackson said the cameras help locate missing people and vulnerable residents, not just track crime.
The expansion sits within a 10-year plan endorsed by Council in 2025, covering more than 45 projects. Future upgrades include expanded licence plate recognition and extended mobile CCTV trailer coverage to 2031.
