A 13-year-old girl met up with three other teens on Robina Parkway last Friday evening. Within minutes, two of them allegedly turned on her.

Emergency services found the injured girl nearby on Laver Drive and rushed her to Gold Coast University Hospital. She's since stabilised, but the footage circulating online has shaken plenty of local parents.

Police arrested a 16-year-old and a 13-year-old over the weekend, both from Southport. The older girl faces common assault and assault occasioning bodily harm charges, and is due in Southport Children's Court on August 26. The younger girl is being dealt with under youth justice provisions.

Police say they're not looking for anyone else, but they are tracking who filmed and shared the footage. Superintendent Brett Jackson warned that could carry consequences too.

A 15-year-old boy has been missing since August 11, and police say he was spotted walking through Robina Town Centre not long after he disappeared.

He was seen again over the weekend on Rio Vista Boulevard in Mermaid Waters, wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. He's described as Caucasian, slim, with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

Police and his family hold genuine concerns for his welfare given his age. If you were in or around the town centre recently and think you might have crossed paths with him, it's worth a call.

Three years on from the stabbing outside RQ's Tavern, there's been a court outcome, though not the one many might expect.

Jade Brenda Laing, 33, pleaded guilty to helping her then-partner flee the scene after Dylan McPadden was fatally stabbed there in August 2023. She helped dispose of the knife and later lied to police.

She walked free from the Brisbane Supreme Court with a four-year sentence, wholly suspended. The judge pointed to sustained domestic violence Laing had experienced at the hands of her then-partner as a factor in her actions that night.

Dylan's family filled the public gallery, describing a young man who "lived large" and was loved by hundreds. The man charged with his murder faces trial in December.

Two games, one ticket, right down the road at Cbus Super Stadium. The NRLW Titans face the Broncos first, then the NRL boys take on Cronulla straight after.
